Yoonmi Lim is active as a performer and lecturer: performing in AGO Conventions and various organ festivals and presenting workshops and master classes in the US, Europe and Asia.

Dr. Lim won first prize in the 2004 AGO National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance in Los Angeles. She has also been awarded first prize in the John Rodland Scholarship Competition; second prize in the Arthur Poister Organ Competition; and the first prize in the Korea Piano Duo Competition.

As a devoted church musician from a young age, Dr. Lim has served churches in various capacities; organist, pianist, chorister, choir director, handbell choir director, and children’s choir director. She is currently Organist at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas.

Originally from South Korea, Dr. Lim received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Yonsei University in Seoul, where her teachers were Dr. Tong-Soon Kwak and Kyung-Hee Jung, and where she continued her piano study with Myung-Jin Kim. She received the Doctor of Music in Organ Performance and Literature from Indiana University, studying organ performance and literature with Dr. Christopher Young and church music courses with Dr. Marilyn Keiser. In 2015, Dr. Lim received the Oswald Ragatz Distinguished Organ Alumni Award from the Organ Department, Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University.
